This body of work was produced for my group photography exhibition help during my undertaking of my diploma in photo-imaging.

This body of work is about my sister’s transition from a girl to a young adult. But at the same time it is my transition and every girl’s transition. It hit me after watching my sister slowly change through her personality and appearance, how hard this stage is for girls. The work is layered with societal projections of female perfection: with depictions of the physical, mental and emotional impact of these intimate struggles and pressure to perform.
